"Iainβs expertise and knowledge was excellent and completely fixed the issue. Would highly recommend Iain."
"So, I had an interesting encounter with a Rentokil Pest Control UK worker in Edinburgh today. My first and only road rage incident, in 26 years of driving. Approaching a roundabout where I had right of way, a Rentokil driver saw me, decided to chance it and not to give way, and gave me 'stop' hand signal, followed by a thumbs up as he sailed in front of me, not slowing one jot. I assume the thumbs up meant, "Sorry, not sorry for breaking the law, but thanks for breaking rather than crashing into me." 50 meters down the road I had to pull into an adjacent lane to turn left and since we were communicating with hand gestures, I gave him the middle finger as I passed. While stopped at the traffic lights he then pulled his Rentokill van over both lanes of traffic, stormed over to my window, and shouted something unintelligible. This is an assumption on my part, but I believe while bending over to yell in my window he probably noticed my chemotherapy beanie for the first time, and in a rare, and probably not often repeated moment of insight, realised that a 200 pound and lout starting an altercation with a cancer patient was probably not a good look, and he retreated to his van. I do not have his name, obviously, nor was I able to photograph him or his licence plate as I was rather shaken up by a thug wanting to begin a fight with me over their own dangerous driving and my objection to it. However he should be easy to identify as he was rather distinctive looking, with very bright ginger hair and a full ginger beard. And I don't mean strawberry blonde or redhead, his hair and beard were bright ginger. He is also not among the staff members pictured on the Rentokill Edinburgh page on your website, so they can be ruled out. If you have GPS in your vehicles, or perhaps you can tell who he is from the location of today's jobs, his the dangerous driving occurred at the roundabout north end of Craighall Road (he was travelling in the direction of Starbank Road to Pier Place). The altercation where he got out of his van occurred at the junction of Lindsay Road and Newhaven Place. The incident occurred at 4.15pm on the 29th March 2022. I can only imagine what he might have done to me had it not been blatantly obvious I was very unwell but sick or not, road rage is always unacceptable, especially in a company vehicle where they represent you. Needless to say, Rentokil, I will never call on your services again."
"Absolutely useless. Call these people and ask for them to carry out things they claim to offer on their website and they dont. They "won't come out for noise" when the noise is likely rats or bats. I have to spot the nocturnal animal for them to come, what a joke! Avoid."
"On phoning Rentokil, Edinburgh, I could not get any further than a pleasant and polite Birmingham call-centre operator: however, she was only able to offer me predetermined and generalised responses to my questions. Because of this barrier I could not speak with anyone about the suitability of different forms of treating valuable imported goods, the availability of any selected treatment in any given area of the UK and the logistics associated with obtaining the chosen treatment. The sole response from the operator was that I should email Rentokil, this when I needed to discuss my requirements with someone who had first-hand knowledge of the subject, and a repeated quest for the postal codes for the Ports of Leith and Greenock. In the end I decided to spend my money with a company that was prepared to invest some time in actually speaking with me."
